November 12, 2013  •  Comments Off on Jennifer Garner to talk education on Capitol Hill this week

Jennifer Garner fans, read on. The “Alias” actress (and wife of the next Batman, Ben Affleck) is poised to attend a briefing on Capitol Hill this week.

Garner will appear Wednesday with Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee Chairman Tom Harkin (D-Iowa), ranking member of the House Education and the Workforce Committee Rep. George Miller (D-Calif.), Rep. Richard Hanna (R-N.Y.) and Education Secretary Arne Duncan.

Lawmakers at the event are slated to introduce a bipartisan proposal to expand early childhood education from birth to age 5.

It’s a return trip to the Hill for Garner, a mom of three, who was in Washington earlier this year to push for more funding for early childhood programs.
