E!Online shared this cute story about Jennifer ‘crashing’ an Elementary School dance in California during shooting for her new film The Tribes of Palos Verdes.

This mom of three knows a thing or two about school dances.

Jennifer Garner took a break from her hectic acting schedule to surprise a group of schoolgirls at their mother-daughter dance Saturday.

While shooting for her upcoming film The Tribes of Palos Verdes at the Friendly Hills Country Club, the female students of Grazide Elementary School in Hacienda Heights, Calif. were busy boogieing the evening away alongside their moms.

When she could finally steal a moment away from her work, the actress visited the little ladies and thanked them for their good behavior.

“Thank you all for being so patient because I know movies can be a hassle to have shooting around you,” she said in front of the excited group.

It doesn’t seem like any of the girls were too upset about Garner crashing the party. She was met with cheers and applause as she spoke before the crowd.

A source tells E! News, “She [Jennifer] felt bad so she came in and said hello. Everyone was so excited. It was a nice surprise. A memorable night that’s for sure!”

Penelope Han, who attended with her daughter, told us: “We had some problems with the production staff and Jennifer Garner came down to apologize to the girls. She was so sweet. The girls were so excited as soon as they found out she’s from 13 going on 30. And of course the moms were ecstatic!”

Garner is no stranger to interacting with little girls—her daughters Violet and Seraphina are both elementary school age as well. Along with son Samuel, the star is very protective of her trio of kids and is hesitant to expose them to too much of the spotlight.

“They have school tomorrow and they’re doing homework and practicing piano and going to bed,” she told E!’s Marc Malkinat the red carpet premiere of her latest film, Miracles from Heaven.
Despite their June divorce filing, Garner and her former husband of 10 years Ben Affleck remain a unit for the sake of their kin.

“The main thing is these kids—and we’re completely in line with what we hope for them,” she told Vanity Fair. “Sure, I lost the dream of dancing with my husband at my daughter’s wedding. But you should see their faces when he walks through the door. And if you see your kids love someone so purely and wholly, then you’re going to be friends with that person.”
